The Symposium objectives are to:
  • Provide a forum for Industry, Government, education, private sector and academia to collaborate, discuss and investigate the issues and solutions surrounding:Swimming skills – ensuring that all children have access to swimming and water safety programs and achieve National Benchmarks. Workforce – raising the profile of the industry as a career opportunity and ensuring the workforce is sustainable, supported and capable. Infrastructure – ensuring the availability and sustainability of fit-for-purpose aquatic facilities.
  • Present research, policy and practice that aim to provide insights and address the issues.
  • Facilitate setting a collective agenda and developing action statements.
  • Engage, collaborate and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Support the AWSS 2030 priority areas and key activities.
Who should attend:
  • Senior representatives of peak associations.
  • Senior government representatives with remit for water safety programs, sport vouchers, sport infrastructure funding, and workforce, skills and training policy settings and needs.
  • Leading academics with an interest in these topics.
  • Leading architects and consultants who work with the aquatic sector.
  • Industry executives and leadership, product managers.
