Royal Life Saving NSW is proud to be a Duke for Sport Partner for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a global youth development program empowering young Australians aged 14-24 to explore their full potential.

Participants must learn a new skill, volunteer, improve their physical wellbeing and experience a team adventure in a new environment.

The designated time frames must be completed by participants in their respective awards;

• Bronze

• Silver

• Gold

Below are some diverse and enjoyable examples of how participants can complete their sections with Royal Life Saving NSW.

*Courses can be divided up into hourly sessions to allign with Duke of Ed time requirements.

The minimum age for Royal Life Saving Swim Teacher & Pool Lifeguard course is 16 years.

The minimum age for the Royal Life Saving First Aid course is 14 years.
