Together with Parramatta City Council and Surf Life Saving NSW, the Day on the Lake will provide particpants with practical water safety skills for local community members to enjoy the water this summer.

10.00am -10.15 am    Welcome, acknowledgment to country, introduction,  and housekeeping 

10:15am – 12:45pm

Activity and practical stations

· Inland water way safety information

· Dryland rescues

· How to use and wear a Lifejacket properly

· CPR awareness training

10:15am   - 12:45pm

Activity and practical sessions:

· How to safely recreate around Lake Parramatta

· Signage   explanation around lake Parramatta

Parking/ Transport information: 

There are 68 parking spaces in the Parramatta Lake Conservation Area. When the parking lot is full, parking is available on the surrounding streets and is a short walk from the event location.

 If you arrive by train, get dropped off at Parramatta Interchange - then you can catch a bus from Parramatta CBD (bus 609). Buses stop 50 metres from the entrance to Parramatta Lake and stop three times an hour from Monday to Saturday and three times on Sundays. Alternatively, buses running along Windsor Road and Mount Pennett Road include stops about 500 meters from the entrance to Parramatta Lake.
