SWIM SCHOOL EXCELLENCE PROGRAM

Overview

The Swim School Excellence Program has been designed for Swim Schools who wish to demonstrate quality and excellence in their entire business operations as a Swim School. It is the pinnacle milestone for a Swim School or Aquatic Facility to reach in terms of demonstrating industry excellence of its Swimming and Water Safety Program.

Parents and Carers who are enrolling their children in a Gold Swim School can know that they are getting a quality Swimming and Water Safety experience.

Excellence Guidelines

The Swim School Excellence Guidelines describe outcomes Swim Schools should achieve, but do not prescribe methods by which Swim Schools should achieve these outcomes. This allows Swim Schools to be flexible and innovative in their delivery—an acknowledgement that each Swim School is different and needs to operate in a way that suits their clients and students.
These Excellence Guideline supports the National Swimming and Water Safety Framework, as a system which ensures the integrity of swimming and water safety programs in Australia. Swim Schools are always strongly encouraged to meet and be assessed against the guidelines within Swim School Excellence Program

Swim School Assessment

The Swim School Excellence Assessment is the easiest and most effective way to gain an indpendant assessment of the level of compliance that a Swim School or aquatic facility has with the Swim School Excellence Guidelines.

The Swim School Excellence Assessment It is conducted by experienced Swim School Operators who are appropriately qualified to make sound judgements on the Guidelines and the National Swimming and Water Safety Framework.

Excellence Recognition

Royal Life Saving of behalf of the industry have established a Gold Swim School Partner system. The Gold Swim School Partner System recognises Swim School Partners that your swimming and water safety program is consistent with the Swim School Excellence Program, National Swimming and Water Safety Framework and GSPO will be provided upon the successful assessment and approval of your application.
The Gold Swim School Partner system includes:

An Education Campaign advising of the benefits of swimming and water safety and to look out for the Gold Swim School Partner logo.

Authorisation to advertise and market with the Gold Swim School Partner logo in your swimming and water safety programs

A range of recognition resources for use in the advertising and marketing of your swimming and water safety programs
