Welcome to the Royal Life Saving Child Safety Module for the Aquatic Industry Management Staff.

 

Royal Life Saving is committed to child safety and the broad objective of this module is to assist the aquatic industry, and its workforce, to develop a clear understanding of the expectations, legal requirements and best practices relating to child safety.

 

Objectives

  • Highlight the elements that form a culture of child safety
  • Highlight and explain key high-level resources, policies and practices that an organisation can refer to and utilise, as it strives to become more child safe
  • Develop specific knowledge and skills that will enable you to keep children safe
  • Apply best practice guidelines on how to identify and respond to incidences where children may be unsafe or subject to abuse
  • Know where to access Child Safe resources and documentation
