Pool Lifeguard Licence

The Aquatic Industry in NSW and ACT, requires Pool Lifeguards to be licenced for their specific workplace. Therefore, Lifeguards (new and experienced) must complete a Royal Life Saving NSW Licence Application Form, as part of their induction process.

To obtain a Pool Lifeguard Licence, you must hold a Pool Lifeguard Skillset that is less than 12 months old.


Completed the Pool Lifeguard skillset through an alternative provider and require a Pool Lifeguard Licence? You will need to complete Pool Lifeguard Licence Application – External Qualifications form (and all accompanying documents) and send to your closest Royal Life Saving Office for processing.
