Royal Life Saving ACT is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our professional team of swimming and water safety teachers! You will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of Canberra’s largest primary school aquatics program consisting of multiple exciting swimming and water safety curriculums.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Provide a safe and inviting learning environment for school age children;

Teaching swimming and water safety skills to school age children;

Recording student participation and progress; and

Attending training and development sessions as required.

Your key skills will include:

Excellent communication skills – ability to be objective, polite, and professional with your co-workers, schoolteachers, students, and venue operators.

Form connections and rapport with children and young people

Experience is preferred but not essential.

Program details

Our programs are delivered during school hours between 9.00am – 2.00pm (shift lengths will differ dependent on program bookings)

Immediate start available with increased earning opportunities in Terms 3 and 4.

Venues include: CISAC Belconnen, Stromlo Leisure Centre, Lakeside Leisure Centre, Canberra Olympic Pool, and Gungahlin Leisure Centre
