Qualifications & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Education, Recreation, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in the aquatic and recreation industry.
  • Proven track record of team leadership, mentorship, and operational management.
  • Strong network within the aquatic and recreation industry is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing work environment and cater to varying work hours.


Tasks & responsibilitiesTraining & Development:

Act as a Trainer across all of our training programs. Recruit, train, and mentor new trainers ensuring they meet the organization’s standards and expectations. Develop and implement innovative training methodologies and curriculums in line with industry best practices.
Operational Leadership:

Lead and manage the daily operations of the Wollongong office, ensuring all activities align with organizational objectives. Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.
Business Development & Partnerships:

Identify opportunities to build business and expand the organisation's footprint within the Illawarra region. Establish and nurture partnerships, fostering collaboration and synergy in line with the organization's goals.
Team Management:

Lead, guide, and support the regional team to ensure alignment with the organization's objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and team collaboration. Address any performance issues in a timely and constructive manner.
Travel:

Be available for travel as required to cater to training, business development, or other organizational needs.

35-hour flexible work week Competitive salary package inclusive of a fully maintained company car and fringe benefits tax (FBT) provisions.
