Overview

This award aims to provide practical experience in the lifesaving technique of CPR. The skills tested in this award are easy to learn and can be taught to children in Primary School and Lower Secondary School.


Aim

To provide awareness of the Lifesaving technique of CPR


Pre-requiste

Nil


Practical Assessment Activity

Demonstrate on a partner:

  1. Checking for dangers and taking appropriate action

  2. Assessing consciousness

  3. Cleaning and opening the airwary

  4. Checking for breathing

  5. Positioning the casualty for CPR

  6. Taking appropriate action if the casualty vomits

  7. The recovery position


Demonstrate Rescue Breathing

Demonstrate Chest Compression

Demonstrate emergency care of a person in shock
